Day 1 Arrive Kilimanjaro (Dinner)   

  • Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your driver will be waiting to transfer you to Maasai Lodge. 
  • Freshen up after your journey and unwind in the laid-back resort atmosphere of Maasai Lodge. 
  • Enjoy delicious meals at the lodge while taking in remarkable views of Mount Kilimanjaro. 
  • Take the opportunity to explore the Maasai country and land surrounding the lodge. 
  • Relax and enjoy a restful night's sleep, experiencing an authentic Maasai and African atmosphere. 
  • Overnight stay at Maasai Lodge. 

 

Day 2 Authentic Cultural Experience (Breakfast/Dinner)  

  • Early morning wake-up call with coffee and biscuits to enjoy the breath-taking sunrise. 
  • Depart from the lodge to visit a Maasai Boma and immerse yourself in the traditional Maasai lifestyle. 
  • Experience the daily tasks and responsibilities of Maasai men and women, gaining insight into their traditions and customs. 
  • Return to the lodge for brunch and enjoy further Maasai activities in the afternoon. 
  • Participate in a spear throwing competition against the Maasai and join a guided nature walk with a Maasai guide to learn about herbs, medicinal plants, and more aspects of Maasai culture. 
  • Return to the lodge in the evening to prepare for a festive Maasai dinner, where Maasai men will grill a goat while women prepare side dishes. 
  • Engage in conversations with the Maasai and ask questions about their lifestyle and culture. 
  • After dinner, enjoy traditional festivities that continue into the early morning hours.

Optional RM980: Live like a Maasai – For one whole day in your life 

  • Wake up early in the morning for the Special Maasai Day experience. 
  • Dress like a Maasai and participate in goat and cow milking in a Maasai settlement near the lodge. 
  • Enjoy a late brunch before embarking on various activities. 
  • Men will collect healing plants, slaughter a goat, and prepare it on the fireplace. 
  • Women will gather firewood, repair Maasai houses, and experience the challenges of Maasai life. 
  • End the evening with a special goat fire celebration and traditional dances. 
  • Throughout the day, you will be accompanied by a Maasai guide who will provide insights into the deeper meaning of Maasai life.

Day 3 Serengeti – Ikoma (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)  

  • After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, known as the "endless plain" in the Maasai language. 
  • En-route, choose to visit a Maasai Village to explore Maasai culture and participate in tribal activities, OR visit Olduvai Gorge, known as the Cradle of Humanity. 
  • Enjoy a game drive en route to your camp, offering the opportunity to spot wildlife along the way. 
  • Overnight stay at SIMBA Lodge or a similar accommodation option. 

 

Day 4 Nature Walking Tour – Night Game Drive (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)  

  • After breakfast, embark on a Nature walking tour along the Grumeti river, offering a unique perspective on the surrounding wildlife and ecosystem. 
  • In the late afternoon, walk back to your lodge for a hot lunch and relaxation. 
  • Enjoy a sun-downer before heading out for a night game drive, where you'll discover a whole new world of nocturnal animal species. 
  • Ikoma is praised for its scenic beauty, providing a different perspective of the park and wildlife, especially during a night game drive. 
  • Dinner will feature a selection of Swahili cuisine prepared at the lodge. 
  • After dinner, experience a thrilling night safari. 
  • Overnight stay at Simba Lodge or a similar accommodation option. 

 

Day 5 & Day 6 Serengeti (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)  

  • Enjoy two full days in the endless plains of Serengeti with game drives, renowned for its beauty and hosting the Great Wildebeest Migration. 
  • Witness the vast herds of plains game including wildebeest, zebra, and antelope, as well as predators like lions and cheetahs among the scattered kopjes. 
  • Explore the diverse landscapes of Serengeti, from open grass plains in the south to savanna with scattered acacia trees in the center, hilly wooded grassland in the north, and extensive woodland and black clay plains to the west. 
  • Choose from different options to structure your day according to your preference: 
  • Start your day with an early morning Balloon excursion followed by a picnic breakfast. 
  • Begin with a morning game drive and enjoy a picnic breakfast in the wilderness, returning to camp for lunch. 
  • Have breakfast at camp and head out for an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch, returning in the mid-afternoon. 
  • Overnight stay at Serengeti Simba, Kirimu, or Acacia Lodge. 

 

Day 7 Ngorongoro (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)  

  • Depart after an early breakfast with your driver to Ngorongoro Crater, aiming for an early start to avoid crowds. 
  • Arrive at the park gate as close to 6:00 AM as possible to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities. 
  • Experience the abundance of wildlife in the area, including lions that are typically larger in size due to the rich game population. 
  • Explore the Ngorongoro Crater, a large and unbroken caldera formed by a volcanic eruption millions of years ago. 
  • Marvel at the spectacular scenery and diverse wildlife, including Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos, grazing on the crater floor. 
  • Spot other animals such as cheetahs, wildebeests, elands, zebras, and gazelles, among others. 
  • Observe bird species like flamingos feeding at Makat Soda Lake. 
  • In the afternoon, drive to your lodge in Karatu for an overnight stay. 

 

Day 8 Departure (Breakfast)  

  • After breakfast, depart to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home or connecting to the Island of Zanzibar. 
  • If heading to Zanzibar, catch your international flight from there and bid farewell to your guide for your onward journey. 
  • While your Tanzania Safari vacation has come to an end, cherish the memories forever and consider returning one day to retrace the adventure. 
  • Wishing you a safe and enjoyable trip to your next destination or flight home.

Deposit  

A deposit of 50% of the tour package price per person is required when booking is made. Balance payment must be made 45 days prior to departure.

All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation. Peak season surcharge may apply.  

 

Visa Applications 

Tourist visa is required for Malaysian passport to Sri Lanka.
