Overview
Bako National Park, established in 1957 in Sarawak, Malaysia, is the state’s oldest national park, spanning 27 square kilometers. It boasts diverse ecosystems, including mangroves, rainforests, and coastal areas. The park is famous for its wildlife, such as proboscis monkeys, Bornean bearded pigs, and a variety of bird species. Visitors can explore numerous trails that lead through lush forests to stunning beaches and unique rock formations. Bako is a popular destination for nature lovers and hikers, offering an immersive experience in Borneo’s rich biodiversity.

Itinerary
Day 1 Bako National Park (Lunch/Dinner)
- 0800 hours- Pick up from the hotel in Kuching.
- Bako National Park is situated on a peninsula on the coast and the departure point for trips to the park is Bako village, 35 minutes’ drive from Kuching.
- From the village, proceed by boat for approximately 25 minutes to the park headquarters.
- En-route there is a chance to see crocodiles, sea eagles and other shore birds.
- Arrive at the park HQ and begin exploring the trails and searching for wildlife with your guide.
- Have lunch at the canteen and then continue to explore Bako.
- After dinner at the park restaurant, proceed on a night walk by torchlight.
- Overnight at the park accommodation.
Day 2 Bako National Park (Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at the park.
- Full day exploration of the park in search of wildlife and trekking to Bukit Pandan to see the pitcher plants.
- Overnight
Day 3 Bako National Park – Kuching (Breakfast/Lunch)
- Following breakfast, hike one of the trails to spot rare migratory birds, reptiles, and langurs and search for the rare and elusive proboscis monkey, a primate only found in Borneo.
- We had lunch at the park before returning to Kuching by mid-afternoon.

- This is only a No reservation has been made until we receive your written acceptance of the quotation and deposit to secure the quotation rates.
- Price is subject to any surcharge including peak season surcharge / weekend / public holiday surcharge.
- Confirmation is subject to availability of both hotels / land transfer
- A deposit of 50% is required upon booking confirmation and final payment to be paid in full one month before arrival.
- Change of travel date is allowed and must be made 2 weeks prior to check-in date and is subject to room availability.
- Cancellation procedure:
- Travel arrangements for any member of the party may be cancelled at any time by written notice by the person who made the booking.

- If full payment is not received one month prior to arrival date, Star Travel has the right to cancel your reservation. Star Travel will not be responsible for lost
- If a person in a party cancels and there is a room change caused by this cancellation (such as Twin to Single), charges for the new room type will be the responsibility of the remaining party.
