DAY 1 : MEET ON ARRIVAL/ SEPILOK / SUKAU

Meet and greet at the airport and drive for about half an hour to Sepilok Orang-Utan Rehabilitation Centre where orphaned and injured Orang-Utan brought to Sepilok to be rehabilitated to return and fend for themselves back to the wild. Sepilok is a primary lowland forest; a fine showcase of Borneo’s remaining rainforest. Witness the feeding of Orang-Utan from a platform in the forest and later watch the 25 minutes scheduled video documentary show. Drive for about 2.5hrs drive through rustic countryside studded with villages. Take a short boat transfer to Borneo Nature Lodge. Time for orientation, have lunch and check in. Relax by the river before embarking by boat up-river at 4:00 PM along Sabah's longest river, Kinabatangan with opportunity to view wildlife and birds in its virgin rainforest habitat. Search for some of the primates species including the endemic Proboscis Monkeys as they settle down on treetops. Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary is on the best places in Southeast Asia to observe wildlife. Overnight at Borneo Nature Lodge. Meals Included: Lunch/ Dinner

DAY 2 : OX-BOW LAKE / SUKAU

Wake up to the calls of birds, insects and animals. At 6:00 AM take a morning cruise up to The Kinabatangan River and onto Kelenanap Ox-Bow Lake for bird watching and in search of other wildlife. Take a short jungle walk (if weather permits) and experience the wilderness of Borneo before returning to the lodge for breakfast. . Free at leisure to explore the surrounding areas or nearby village. In the late afternoon at 4:00 PM, boat cruise along the river to see many species of flora and fauna of the rainforest and overnight stay at Borneo Nature Lodge. Overnight at Borneo Nature Lodge. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Note: Optional tours e.g. Night Cruise, Night Walk & Tree Planting can be arranged at the lodge with minimal rates depends on the weather condition (Optional night activity starts at 8:00 PM)

DAY 3 : GOMANTONG / SUKAU  

Depart early morning and visit the Gomantong Cave, famed for its edible birds' nests. Take about 15 minutes’ boardwalk to the opening of Simud Hitam cavern and explore the cave system on boardwalk. Return to lodge for lunch and free at leisure. Proceed for another afternoon cruise in search of other wildlife along the river banks. Overnight stay at Borneo Nature Lodge. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

SUKAU / SANDAKAN CITY TOUR / AIRPORT  

Return to Sandakan, proceed for a city tour and explore the various landmarks of Sandakan which may include Central Market, the most amazing variety of fresh seafood and agricultural products, Sim-Sim Water Village where houses are all built close to the water surface while observing the fascinating view of the sea, visit Puh Jih Syh Buddhist Temple which offers a panoramic view of Sandakan Bay situated on the hilltop of Tanah Merah. After tour, transfer to airport for your evening flight back to Kota Kinabalu/Kuala Lumpur. Meal Included: Breakfast

NOTES

• Tourism Tax – MYR10 per room per night (payable at the hotel).
• Rates for CWB: 80%, CNB: 60%.
• Child age policy: 2- 11 years old, below 2 years old FOC
• 2 – 14 pax: To add 50% for PVT Basis requirement (all boat transfers are on SIC basis)
• 15 pax and above: Will be upgraded to PVT Basis at no extra cost (all boat transfers are on SIC basis)

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Rates quoted strictly for minimum number of persons as per request above, if less or any reduce no of person the rate will be different.
2. This is only a quotation, no reservation has been made until we receive your written acceptance of the quotation and deposit to secure the quotation rates.
3. Price is subject to any surcharge including peak season surcharge / weekend / public holiday surcharge.
4. Confirmation is subject to availability of both hotels / land transfer arrangements.
5. Deposit of 50% is required upon booking confirmation and final payment to be paid in full one month before arrival.
6. Change of travel date is allowed and has to be made 2 weeks prior to check-in date and is subject to room availability.

8. Travel arrangements for any member of the party may be cancelled at any time by written notice by the person who made the booking.
9. Please note the following:

If notice of cancellation is received by Star Travel more than 30 days prior to the guided holiday departure date, 20% will be retained along for Star Travel’s Cancellation Fee Waiver payment.

1. If full payment is not received one month prior to arrival date, Star Travel has the right to cancel your reservation. Star Travel will not be responsible for lost reservations.
2. If a person in a party cancels and there is a room change caused by this cancellation (such as Twin to Single), charges for the new room type will be the responsibility of the remaining party.

Illness or Absence

Early return expenses are the guest’s responsibility. There is no refund for absence or early departure from a guided holiday.
