Overview
This 6-day, 5-night private tour of Istanbul and Kusadasi offers a journey through Turkey’s blend of ancient wonders, architectural marvels, and bustling bazaars. Arriving in Istanbul, you’ll be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
The second day begins with a full exploration of Istanbul’s historic highlights. Start at the Blue Mosque, famed for its stunning blue Iznik tiles and six minarets, and then visit the Hippodrome, the city’s former social center. Nearby, the Hagia Sophia awaits, a breathtaking basilica built in the 6th century. After lunch, tour Topkapi Palace, once the seat of Ottoman power, with its remarkable art and jewelry collections. End the day with a stroll through the Grand Bazaar, where you can savor a Turkish coffee from the iconic Sark Kahvesi and explore its nearly 4000 shops.
On the third day, enjoy a half-day tour of Istanbul, beginning at the vibrant Spice Market. Here, you can immerse yourself in the scents of spices, herbs, and sweets before embarking on a scenic Bosphorus Cruise. Admire Ottoman mansions, marble palaces, and picturesque villages lining both sides of the waterway, with views of notable landmarks like Dolmabahçe Palace and Rumeli Fortress. After the cruise, you’ll catch a flight to Izmir and then transfer to Kusadasi for an overnight stay.
Day four takes you to Seljuk, beginning with a visit to the Basilica of St. John, followed by the historic Isabey Mosque. From there, explore the ancient city of Ephesus, a significant archaeological site mentioned in the Bible. Marvel at the Great Theatre where St. Paul preached and explore the Church of the Councils. Later, spend leisurely time in Kusadasi’s town center, where markets offer handmade Turkish souvenirs, jewelry, and leather goods.
On the fifth day, you’ll fly back to Istanbul and be transferred to your hotel for a final overnight stay. After breakfast on the sixth day, you’ll be escorted to the airport for your departure, leaving Turkey with lasting memories of its vibrant cities and historic wonders.

Day 1 Istanbul
- Arrive in Istanbul.
- Meet at the airport.

Day 2 Istanbul (Breakfast/Lunch)
- After breakfast, begin full day sightseeing in Istanbul.
- Start with a visit to the Sultanahmet Mosque, also known as The Blue Mosque.
- Admire the beautiful blue Iznik tiles and its unique six minarets.
- Proceed to the Hippodrome, once the center of sporting and political activities.
- Explore the nearby Hagia Sophia, a marvel of world architecture built as a basilica in the 6th century.
- Enjoy lunch before visiting Topkapi Palace, former imperial residence of Ottoman Sultans.

Day 3 Istanbul – Cappadocia (Domestic Flight not included) (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- After breakfast, embark on a half-day sightseeing tour in Istanbul.
- Begin with a visit to the Spice Market, also known as the Egyptian Bazaar, built in the 17th century.
- Explore the corridors filled with exotic oils, herbs, spices, nuts, honey, dried fruits, sweets, and herbal remedies.
- Experience the rich aromas that have filled the market for nearly 350 years, immersing yourself in the atmosphere of a spice trader.
- Continue the tour with a Bosphorus Cruise on a regular boat.
- Sail through the waterway separating Asia and Europe.
- Admire Ottoman wooden mansions, marble palaces, foreign embassies estates, and small fishing villages along the way.
- Don’t miss sightseeing spots such as Dolmabahçe Palace, Rumeli Fortress, and Beylerbeyi.
- After the cruise, transfer to Istanbul airport for departure flight to Kayseri.
- Upon arrival at Kayseri airport, transfer to the hotel in Cappadocia.

Day 4 Cappadocia (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

- After breakfast, embark on an exploration of the famous valleys of Cappadocia, renowned for their unique natural rock formations.
- Learn about the geological history of the region, where volcanic eruptions and erosion have shaped the landscape over millennia.
- Discover the iconic “fairy chimneys” and explore the ancient rock-carved structures, including homes, churches, and chapels, created by the Hittites and early Christians.
- Visit key attractions such as the Underground City, Goreme Open Air Museum, Devrent, Pasabag, Uchisar Valley (with panoramic views), Avanos, and Urgup (known as Three Beauties).
- Take the opportunity to purchase pottery crafted using the traditional kick-wheel method in Avanos.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel, surrounded by the unique beauty of Cappadocia.
After breakfast, we will explore the famous valleys of Cappadocia. It is a unique location in the world with one of a kind natural rock formation.. Erosion shaped them into famous formations, which are called “fairy chimneys”.. Hittites chiselled the soft tufa stones to carve out this fairy tale world into homes, stables, shops, churches, hospitals, etc. etc. Early Christians carved caves and made frescoes of Biblical scenes on the walls of these rock-carved chapels. We will visit Goreme Open air Museum, Kaymakli Underground Cistern, Devrent, Pigeon, Pasabag and Avanos valleys, the latter providing us with the opportunity to purchase some pottery made with kick-wheel method that has been shaped here for millennia.

Day 5 Cappadocia – Istanbul (Domestic Flight not included) (Breakfast)
