Overview
This 6-day tour of Mongolia begins in the vibrant capital, Ulaanbaatar, where you’ll explore key cultural sites, including the Gandantegchinlen Monastery and the National Museum. Following your time in the city, you’ll travel to the Khentii Province, known as the birthplace of Chinggis Khaan. Experience the exciting Horse Festival with activities such as horse racing, traditional competitions, and a captivating folklore performance. You’ll also immerse yourself in the local culture by staying in traditional Ger dwellings and visiting a nomadic family to learn about their unique lifestyle.
The journey continues with a visit to the impressive Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex, offering panoramic views of the Mongolian landscape. Afterward, return to Ulaanbaatar for some last-minute shopping before enjoying a farewell dinner. This tour offers a fascinating glimpse into Mongolia’s rich heritage, its nomadic traditions, and the legendary legacy of Chinggis Khaan, providing an unforgettable cultural experience.

20 Nov 2025: Day 1 Arrival Ulaanbaatar (Dinner)
- Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia.
- Transfer to your hotel for check-in.
- In the afternoon, embark on a city sightseeing tour including Gandantegchinlen monastery and National Museum.
- Enjoy a welcome dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
21 Nov 2025: Day 2 Travel to Khentii Province (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast and depart from Ulaanbaatar and travel eastward to Khentii Province, covering a distance of 330 km.
- Have lunch on the way in local restaurant.
- Reach to Chinggis town, the center of the province and take a short tour around.
- Continue your journey to Batnorov village, located approximately 100 km from Chinggis town.
- You can enjoy a dance party with local people in a small club.
- Stay overnight in a traditional dwelling Ger.
22 Nov 2025: Day 3 Travel to Horse Festival (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast and enjoy the event programs including horse catching competition and horse racing.
- Official Opening Parade of the Festival starts with the beautiful, dressed Mongolians on horseback (Note that you can also attend this parade)
- After the parade, horse riding skill shows and competitions are being held.
- In the evening, be entertained by a captivating folklore performance.
- Spend the night in a traditional Ger dwelling.
23 Nov 2025: Day 4 Horse Festival (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast and start the day by attending the Mongolian steppe dog’s show and sportive competition.
- Late afternoon you will visit a Nomadic family to learn more in-depth for traditional culture and unique lifestyle.
- Stay overnight in a traditional dwelling Ger.
24 Nov 2025: Day 5 Travel to Ulaanbaatar & Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast and depart from the Ger camp and begin your journey back to Ulaanbaatar, covering 430 km, which typically takes 6-7 hours.
- On the way stop over at Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex in Tsonjinboldog.
- Statue complex is 40m high and visitors can have a panoramic view of the area from the top deck on the horse’s head.
- Continue travel to Ulaanbaatar and last-minute shopping.
- Enjoy a farewell dinner.
- Overnight stay in hotel.
25 Nov 2025: Day 6 Departure (Breakfast)
- After breakfast, check out from hotel.
- Transfer to airport for departure.
