Overview
Your Bhutan itinerary starts with your arrival at Paro Airport, followed by a scenic drive to Thimphu. After settling into your hotel, you’ll have an evening to explore Thimphu’s main street and local crafts. The next day includes visits to key sights in Thimphu, such as the National Library, Textile Museum, and Buddha Point, before an overnight stay in the city.
On Day 3, you’ll travel to Punakha, passing through Dochula Pass and visiting landmarks like Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lhakhang. The following day features a hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten and a visit to Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang Nunnery. You’ll return to Paro on Day 5, exploring Simtokha Dzong, Ta Dzong, and Rinpung Dzong. The final day includes a hike to the iconic Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), and visits to Drukgyel Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang. The trip concludes with your departure from Paro Airport.

Day 1: Paro – Thimpu (Dinner)
- Arrival at Paro airport.
- Immigration formalities completed.
- Meeting with representative.
- Drive to Thimpu (distance: 55 km, duration: Approximately 1.5 hours)
- Stop at Chuzon.
- Confluence of Thimpu and Paro rivers.
- Arrival in Thimpu and hotel check-in.
- Explore Thimphu, a unique city blending modern development with ancient traditions.
- Take an evening walk around Thimphu Main Street and market area.
- Visit the Local Crafts Bazaar to shop for traditional Bhutanese arts and crafts.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu
Day 2: Thimpu (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Proceed for Thimpu Valley sightseeing.
- Visit the National Library, Textile Museum and Simply Bhutan.
- Lunch break.
- Short drive (15km) to Pangri Zampa and visit the 16th-century monastery, one of Bhutan’s oldest.
- Visit Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang), short drive from Thimpu City Centre and get overview of Thimphu Valley from Buddha Point.
- Visit King’s Memorial Chorten.
- Visit Trashichhoedzong.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 3: Thimpu – Punakha (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Punakha (distance: 75 km, duration: Approximately 3 hours)
- Pass through Dochula Pass.
- Arrival in Punakha and hotel check-in.
- Explore Punakha Dzong.
- Excursion to Chimi Lhakhang.
- Evening exploration of Punakha Village.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Punakha.
Day 4: Punakha (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten.

- Enroute visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan built in 1627, now housing the School for Buddhist Studies.
- Arrival in Paro and hotel check-in.
- Lunch.
- Explore Ta Dzong.
- Short trail to Rinpung Dzong.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.
Day 6: Paro (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Excursion to Taktshang Monastery or Tigers Nest.
- Hike lasting approximately 5 hours.
- In the afternoon, drive to Drukgyel Dzong.
- Continue visit Kyichu Lhakhang in the evening.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.
Day 7: Departure (Breakfast)

- Proceed to the airport.
- Flight to onward destination.
